What You Will Be Doing

* Cultivating and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic direction

* Authoring technical specifications that resolve critical technical challenges and emphasize simplicity, performance, and sustainable architecture

* Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the strategic objective of minimizing manual intervention

* Managing people exclusively; this role relies heavily on your business insight and technical depth

* Expending effort on meetings, committees, and administrative overhead; we have streamlined management processes to enable you to concentrate on delivering business impact through direct contribution

* Proposing high-level strategies detached from execution; your guidance must be grounded in product-level intelligence

Vice President Of Product Engineering Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, owning essential capabilities and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership

Basic Requirements

* 7+ years of experience driving critical architecture and design decisions on software initiatives, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies

* 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery accountability for a revenue-generating product

* Experience leveraging AI agents to design, implement, and test software products or features

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
