What You Will Be Doing

* Cultivating and applying comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic decisions

* Authoring technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions and emphasize simplicity, efficiency, and sustainability

* Deploying generative AI capabilities to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort

What You Won’t Be Doing

* Pure people management; your technical and business judgment will be the primary drivers in this role

* Spending your time in meetings, committees, and administrative overhead; we have automated management tasks so you can concentrate on delivering business value through direct execution

* High-level strategies lacking implementation detail; your guidance must be grounded in product-level understanding

Lead Product Architect Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, owning critical capabilities and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic leadership

Basic Requirements

* 7+ years of experience making the important architecture and design decisions on software projects, such as the application of architecture design patterns or significant open source technologies

* 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)

* 4+ years of experience in positions with full technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product

* Experience using AI agents to design, implement, and test software products or features

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
