What You Will Be Doing

* Cultivating and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic choices

* Creating technical specifications that establish critical technical decisions while prioritizing simplicity, efficiency, and sustainability

* Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the strategic objective of minimizing manual effort

* Pure people management; this role demands your business and technical expertise as primary contributions

* Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative activities; we have streamlined management overhead to enable you to deliver business value through direct execution

* Abstract strategies without actionable implementation guidance; your recommendations must be grounded in product-level understanding

Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the CTO of one or more education products, controlling core competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic judgment

Basic Requirements

* 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open source technologies

* 2+ years of experience making design decisions involving the use of cloud computing services (primarily AWS)

* 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership on a revenue-generating product

* Experience using AI agents to design, implement, and test software products or features

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
