Role Description
This is a remote volunteer position for a Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, you will perform day-to-day responsibilities including conducting vulnerability assessments, assessing application and network security, reviewing information security protocols, and recommending improvements to ensure the safety and resilience of Pyrrhonian, Inc.’s digital infrastructure. You will also collaborate with a team of experts to enhance security measures aligned with organizational research priorities.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Application Security and experience identifying and mitigating security risks in software systems
* Strong background in Network Security and Information Security practices, including implementing and maintaining secure architecture
* Experience with Vulnerability Assessment, including evaluating threats and performing risk analysis
* Demonstrated understanding of Cybersecurity fundamentals and ability to apply them in dynamic research contexts
* Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
* Familiarity with neuromorphic or quantum computing architectures is a plus
* Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous
* Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote, interdisciplinary team
