About The Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of people around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic South African English accents to participate in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a contract role for a limited number of sessions. No AI background needed — just your voice, your craft, and your authentic South African accent.

* Important: This project does not involve voice cloning

What You'll Do

* Record natural, conversational South African English speech in a professional studio environment

* Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings

* Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and natural

* Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across different scenarios

* Bring your performance experience to make conversations sound authentic and engaging

Who You Are

* A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with a genuine South African English accent

* Native or near-native South African English speaker currently based in South Africa

* Comfortable performing natural, conversational dialogue in a studio setting

* Receptive to direction and able to adapt your delivery on the fly

* Reliable, professional, and easy to work with

* Fluent in English at a working level for communication and direction

Nice to Have

* Acting or performance background beyond voice work

* Experience in broadcast, podcast production, or commercial studio recording

* Comfort with both scripted and semi-improvised dialogue styles
