Role Overview
The Vice President of Energy Storage is a high-impact executive role responsible for the end-to-end strategy, procurement, and deployment of our 10 GW storage portfolio. This leader will bridge the gap between high-level business vision and technical execution, ensuring BESS manufacturing integrates seamlessly with our Solar PV and AI data center verticals.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain: Lead the global procurement strategy for raw materials and components, establishing strategic partnerships to de-risk the supply chain.
* Full Lifecycle Oversight: Direct project lifecycles from initial feasibility and grid interconnection studies to commissioning and long-term O&M.
* International Synergy: Conduct regular site visits and strategic audits of international group companies to ensure operational alignment and technology transfer.
* Capital Allocation: Oversee multi-million dollar budgets, ensuring ROI through rigorous CAPEX/OPEX analysis and "Value Stacking" optimization.
* Stakeholder Diplomacy: Represent the firm before the IESO, OEB, and federal regulators to influence evolving energy storage codes and standards.
Required Qualifications
* 10+ Years of Senior Leadership: A proven track record in the renewable energy sector, with specific focus on utility-scale BESS or grid-scale energy projects.
* Advanced Procurement Expertise: Direct experience in global supply chain management, EPC/MSA contract negotiation, and vendor qualification.
* Global Mobility: Flexibility and willingness for frequent international travel to visit group subsidiaries and global manufacturing hubs.
* Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or M.Eng preferred).
* Market Fluency: Deep understanding of the Ontario Long-Term RFP processes and North American ISO/RTO markets.
