I. Position Overview
The Vice President of Digital & AI Transformation is responsible for formulating and driving the company's overarching digital strategy and Artificial Intelligence transformation roadmap. Leveraging data, AI technologies, automation, and digital platform capabilities, this role aims to comprehensively enhance operational efficiency, foster business model innovation, and elevate the customer experience, thereby achieving business growth and upgrading organizational capabilities.
Reporting to the CEO or COO, this position serves as a core, strategic-level leadership role within the company. II. Core Responsibilities
1. Digital & AI Strategic Planning
Develop a company-wide digital transformation strategy (3–5 year roadmap).
Build AI-driven business growth models (an "AI-first" strategy).
Identify opportunities for AI application across key business functions (supply chain, marketing, operations, finance, HR, etc.).
Establish mechanisms for managing the digital investment portfolio and prioritizing initiatives.
2. AI & Data Platform Development
Lead the development of the enterprise data platform (Data Lake / Data Warehouse / Lakehouse).
Drive the implementation of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Machine Learning platforms.
Establish a unified data governance framework (covering data quality, security, and compliance).
Build enterprise-grade AI "Middle-Platform" capabilities.
3. Digital Reengineering of Business Processes
Drive end-to-end business process automation (leveraging RPA + AI).
Redesign core business processes (sales, supply chain, customer service, etc.).
Enhance operational efficiency and cost optimization capabilities.
4. AI Implementation & Commercial Value Realization
Drive the scaled adoption of AI across products, services, and operations.
Build AI-driven intelligent decision-making systems (for forecasting, optimization, and recommendations).
Quantify the ROI of AI projects and drive their commercialization.
5. Technology & Architecture Leadership
Guide the design of IT/Data/AI architecture and the selection of technology stacks.
Collaborate with the CTO to ensure alignment of the technology roadmap.
Drive the integration of cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) with enterprise systems.
6. Organization & Talent Development
Build and lead the Digital & AI team (including Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Product Managers, etc.).
Drive the organization's digital culture transformation (fostering an "AI-Ready Organization").
Establish an internal talent development system for AI expertise.
7. External Collaboration & Ecosystem Building
Establish partnerships with AI technology firms, cloud providers, and consulting firms.
Evaluate and introduce external AI solutions and emerging technologies.
Participate in industry digital alliances and standards-setting bodies.
III. Job Requirements
1. Educational Background
Bachelor's degree or higher; degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or an MBA are preferred.
2. Work Experience
20+ years of experience in IT, digital transformation, data management, or AI-related fields.
At least 5 years of executive-level leadership experience (e.g., VP, Chief Digital Officer, CTO, Head of AI).
Proven track record of successfully leading digital transformation initiatives within large enterprises or multinational corporations.
3. Technical Capabilities
Familiarity with AI/ML/GenAI technologies (e.g., Transformers, LLMs, Agents, etc.)
Proficiency in Data Architecture and Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Understanding of Data Engineering, Data Governance, and MLOps
Familiarity with automation and process optimization technologies (RPA, BPM)
4. Business Acumen
Ability to translate technology into tangible business value (Revenue / Cost / Efficiency)
Possession of a P&L mindset or prior experience as a business leader is preferred
Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities
5. Leadership Requirements
Ability to lead cross-functional, global teams
Strong Change Management capabilities
