Description

This is a great opportunity for seasoned Business Development Managers to sell the next generation of drone technologies, including products, services, and support for surveillance of key infrastructure within Defence, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, and Oil & Gas. You will support the clients’ operation with cutting-edge UAS technologies. This is a strategic, consultative role, where you will work with complex clients, managing multi-stakeholder deals. This position offers a wide client base to acquire, a competitive compensation package, and uncapped commission.

Responsibilities

* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth in the Canadian market across named accounts and key verticals.

* Build trusted, long-term partnerships with clients in highly regulated B2B sectors such as energy, defense, utilities, and public safety.

* Lead the full deal lifecycle — from structured discovery and qualification to proposal, negotiation, close, and post-sale.

* Run value-based sales conversations focused on quantifiable business pain, ROI, and total cost of ownership—avoiding race-to-the-bottom pricing.

* Confidently navigate procurement processes, compliance expectations (e.g., Transport Canada and decision-making units.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, ops, product) to ensure a clear roadmap for offering to meet customer expectations.

* Maintain a disciplined pipeline in CRM with activity-based forecasting logic aligned to 6–12-month sales cycles.

Qualifications

* Over 6 years of business development experience selling UAS, or technologies (H/W and S/W)to Defence, Law Enforcement, Emergency Services, and Oil & Gas sectors.

* 5 years of B2B sales experience in complex, regulated environments such as UAS/drones or industrial surveillance, other technologies such as hardware and software, or robotics, with enterprise, infrastructure clients.

* Proven ability to qualify/disqualify opportunities using structured sales frameworks such as MEDDIC or similar products, and map multi-level decision-making units.

* Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end high-value deals, including metrics on deal value, duration, stakeholders, and commercial outcomes.

* Strong discipline—able to walk away from poor-fit opportunities, protect margin, and handle pricing pressure with confidence.

* Knowledge of Canadian drone regulations, data compliance, and safety requirements is a nice-to-have.

* Proven ability to effectively communicate technical and business requirements, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

* Bachelor's degree or college education in engineering, computer vision, robotics, business or similar.
