Test Engineer Working Student (f/m/x)

We are in an exciting phase of rapid growth at deepc. As we continue to grow, we have identified the need to strengthen our quality assurance within our integrations functions to support product compliance and organisational excellence.

As Testing Engineer you will report to the Product Manager (Integrations) and will play a key role in ensuring that AI medical devices integrate seamlessly and perform reliably on deepcOS. You will work closely with the Integrations and Engineering teams to validate new AI solutions before and during deployment, support the continuous improvement and maintenance of third party AI solutions, and contribute to both technical and regulatory documentation.

This position offers hands-on experience with commercial and research medical AI products and supports the cross-functional collaboration critical to the day to day operations of deepc. You will be an integral part of our product operations team and contribute directly to deepc’s mission of delivering trustworthy AI solutions in healthcare.

Your Challenge

* Test newly integrated AI solutions end-to-end within deepcOS, ensuring correct configuration, routing, and results handling

* Dive into engine logs and system outputs to investigate unexpected behavior and identify root causes

* Adjust and optimize engine configurations where necessary to ensure smooth operation

* Work directly with the manufacturers of 3rd party AI solutions and support their integration work to ensure compatibility with deepc

* Identify, document, and track integration bugs in close collaboration with engineering

* Support Quality Assurance activities for AI medical devices across integrations

* Give and solicit feedback from others in order to continually raise our bar for quality

* Share your knowledge with the team and contribute to improving testing standards and processes at deepc

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and not afraid to explore system behavior deeply - even without writing code - to ensure our AI solutions meet the highest quality standards in medical imaging.

Your Profile

* Currently enrolled in a degree program in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

* Comfortable working with structured configuration formats such as YAML and JSON

* Basic familiarity with Python or Rust is a plus (no advanced coding required)

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

* Confidence in investigating technical systems, even without writing code

* Fluency in English (written and spoken)

* A proactive, structured, and quality-driven mindset

* Curiosity and motivation to quickly understand new processes and systems

* A collaborative, team-oriented working style

* Interest in the MedTech industry and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment

* Enjoyment of a dynamic, driven, and diverse team culture

The following experience would be an advantage:

* Knowledge of medical data standards such as DICOM

* Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI)

* Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments

* Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting system behavior
