Job Title: Technical Lead – AI Engineering

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

* Define architecture and technical roadmap for scalable AI systems aligned with business goals.

* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting best practices in software development and system design.

* Design and implement machine learning infrastructure, including data pipelines, model training, and deployment workflows.

* Ensure high engineering standards through testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and robust code review processes.

* Lead project planning and execution, managing priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a remote environment.

* Collaborate with product, data science, and DevOps teams to align AI initiatives with business requirements.

* Evaluate and integrate new AI/ML tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve system performance and innovation.

* Monitor system health and model performance, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and reliability.

* Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and career development within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

* 2+ years in a technical leadership role or similar position.

* Hands-on experience with AI/ML infrastructure, including model training, deployment, and MLOps pipelines.

* Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with TypeScript.

* Experience designing scalable distributed systems and data pipelines.

* Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

* Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

* Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, especially in remote teams.

* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex systems.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master’s or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related discipline.

* Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, computer vision, or generative AI.

* Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects, research publications, or patents.

* Experience in startup or high-growth technology environments.

* Familiarity with MLOps, AI observability, and real-time data processing systems.
