Job Summary

Lead the development of a strategic backend module dedicated to vegetation operations planning for electric grid operators, leveraging the GridOS Visual Intelligence platform.

This module sits at the core of the product value proposition, aiming to digitalize and optimize complex field operations that currently represent multi-million euro investments for utilities.

As Tech Lead, you will drive both the technical vision and execution, working within a newly structured squad to design scalable solutions for highly complex and non-standardized business processes.

You will play a key role in transforming real-world operational workflows into a robust, scalable software product, collaborating closely with Product, Data Science, and Engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

* Define the technical architecture of the module and drive key design decisions

* Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance of the system

* Lead release preparation, deployment, and production readiness

* Provide operational support post-deployment

Development

* Contribute actively to backend development (hands-on role)

* Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices

* Solve complex and open-ended technical challenges

Product Collaboration

* Work closely with the Product Owner to translate business needs into technical solutions

* Model complex utility processes into scalable software systems

* Contribute to building a product aligned with real customer workflows

Team Leadership

* Act as Tech Lead for a squad of 4–5 engineers

* Organize and coordinate work in an agile / scrum environment

* Mentor and support developers in their technical growth

Tech Stack

Backend-focused, microservices & data platform environment:

* Core: NestJS, Python

* Frontend (context): Angular, TypeScript

* Data & Streaming: MongoDB, Kafka, Redis

* Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD

* ML / Data: PyTorch

* Tooling: GitLab CI, Snyk

Required Qualifications & Skills

🎓 Education: Engineering degree or equivalent (Master’s level preferred)

💼 Experience:

* ~10 years of experience in software development

* 3–4+ years in a Tech Lead or equivalent role

* Experience building complex business applications

🧠 Technical Expertise:

* Strong background in distributed systems / microservices

* Experience in SaaS B2B, data platforms, or AI-driven environments

* Ability to work on open-ended, non-standardized technical problems

🧩 Core Capabilities:

* Strong abstraction and system design skills

* Ability to model complex business processes into software

* Product-oriented mindset with customer understanding

* Fluent English (technical and professional)
