How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a part of our team, you will:
* Carry out regular SRE tasks such as generating products' Failure rate/MTBF data, product useful life estimates, and RQMS data.
* Perform availability/reliability modeling to evaluate and forecast the performance of networking products at the module, system, and node levels.
* Estimate and/or investigate failure rates of components, modules, and cards to assess any potential deviations from Nokia’s reliability standards.
* Contribute to SRE efforts by tracking product field failures and participating in efforts to resolve root causes, helping address reliability concerns in alignment with Nokia’s business goals.
Key Skills And Experience
* Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with an accredited school in Canada.
* Good exposure to hardware and/or software design concepts and practices
* Experience with scripting and other software coding languages is required, e.g., creating macros with Microsoft Office tools or creating SQL programs to store or pull data
* Good working knowledge of the various Communication/Telecom protocols, with a special focus on IP technology and standards for voice, content delivery, and data (L1 to L4 protocols)
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to ask questions and express your ideas and point of view clearly is KEY
