Full Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff/Principal Platform Engineer — Infrastructure in France.
This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale the foundational infrastructure powering a global, high-performance engineering ecosystem. You will design and evolve the internal developer platform that enables dozens of blockchain and product teams to deploy, operate, and secure their services at scale. Acting as a senior technical leader, you will influence architectural direction while remaining deeply hands-on in building resilient, production-grade systems. The environment is highly distributed, fast-moving, and technically demanding, requiring strong system thinking and ownership. You will work across Kubernetes, observability, CI/CD, and cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across all layers. This position is ideal for an experienced platform engineer who thrives in complex distributed systems and enjoys enabling other engineers to move faster and safer.
Accountabilities
* Own the architecture and evolution of the internal developer platform, including Kubernetes, observability, secrets management, and delivery systems
* Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure components supporting multi-tenant, distributed environments
* Develop production-grade platform services and tooling using Go and/or Python, including APIs, operators, and automation tools
* Build and maintain self-service infrastructure capabilities such as Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD templates
* Scale and optimize Kubernetes environments across cloud and bare-metal infrastructure
* Enhance observability and delivery systems using modern tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ArgoCD)
* Define and enforce platform engineering standards, reducing technical debt and improving system reliability
* Contribute to incident response, postmortems, and continuous platform improvements
* Integrate and promote AI-driven tooling to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency
Requirements
* 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering, including senior/staff-level ownership of system architecture
* Strong software engineering skills in Go and/or Python, with experience building production systems
* Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster operations, networking, storage, and multi-tenancy
* Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code at scale
* Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI) and bare-metal environments
* Solid background in observability and delivery tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, and ArgoCD
* Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
* Experience in infrastructure security, including zero-trust principles, container security, and compliance (e.g., SOC 2 Type II)
* Proven ability to design and scale distributed systems with clear architectural trade-offs
* Strong communication skills with experience working in distributed, cross-functional teams
* Active use of AI tools in engineering workflows and interest in scaling their adoption
Benefits
* Competitive compensation package, with payment options in fiat or crypto
* Fully remote working model with global flexibility
* Long-term contractor agreement with stable engagement
* Paid vacation and sick leave
* Wellness and mental health support programs
* Education and professional development budget, including language courses
* Equipment provision and co-working space reimbursement
* Access to global conferences and community events
* Inclusive and equal-opportunity work environment
