About Mault

Mault is an AI agent governance platform. We build the infrastructure that makes multi-agent coding workflows safe, auditable, and deterministic. We enforce runtime hooks, zone isolation, budget gates, and role segregation across AI coding agents, making bad outcomes physically impossible for AIs. Think of it like a broader “ESLint” but for AI agents.

We are seed funded and AI native. That means we are a small team that juggles multiple responsibilities and we are fast. Our CTO ships 40+ PRs a day using Mault’s AI governance rails and multi-agent orchestration system. We need someone who can keep up.

The Role

This is a cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market. You report into GTM.

Product Expert and Sales Engineering (50%): You become the person on the team who knows every corner of the product. When a prospect asks how Mault handles worktree isolation for parallel agents or what hook-based governance looks like in an enterprise Java environment, you answer with confidence. Not by reading a script, but because you have used the product every day and understand it from the inside out. You own sales calls. You run live demos. You translate what Mault does into language a VP of Engineering trusts and you do it without backup.

Martech and GTM Process (50%): You bring AI into the go-to-market engine. You are not handed a playbook. You build one. Whether that is synthesizing AI tools into the sales process, constructing prospecting workflows, standing up demo environments, or shaping how we position the product, you are the technical bridge between what we build and how we sell it. If you need someone to tell you what to do next, this is not the role.

Where This Goes

As we scale, this role grows with you. After 60-90 days, you will have enough depth across product, engineering, and GTM to decide where you want to double down. If you gravitate toward customers and market strategy, you grow deeper into GTM. If you gravitate toward the product and want to build, you move onto the development team. We do not prescribe the path. We let your strengths and your results determine it.

Requirements

We care about what you can do, not where you learned to do it. We do not require a degree or a specific tech stack. What we do care about is whether you can learn fast, move independently, and communicate clearly.

You learn new systems quickly. This is the single most important thing. You will be dropped into an unfamiliar product with documentation and an AI assistant in your back pocket.

You are comfortable with AI. You use AI tools as part of how you work. If you have built something tangible using AI, an app, a workflow, a side project, anything, that is a significant advantage. We are an AI native company and we expect you to think that way.

You have done this before in some form. Maybe it was a sales engineering role, a technical account role, a startup where you wore five hats, or something you built yourself. The title does not matter. What matters is that you have been in a room with a technical buyer and held your own, and you have built or optimized something in a GTM or sales context.

You communicate with precision. Whether it is a prospect email, a live demo, or an internal brief, you say what you mean, you are specific, and you do not waste people's time with filler.

You have a modern computer and reliable internet. You are based in the US. Greater Phoenix, AZ or Florida preferred, but we are open to other US locations for the right candidate.

Compensation and Structure

$40-60/hr depending on experience, 1099 contract to start. Weekly hours are flexible and scale with workload. This is a contract role with a clear path to full-time based on performance. Not tenure, not politics, performance.
