Solution Design Lead/Architect

Pay Rate: $90/hr - 103/hr

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to lead a high-impact transformation initiative focused on modernizing underwriting workflows using AI and intelligent automation.

This role will drive the design and integration of AI-powered solutions to significantly reduce submission turnaround times and enhance underwriting efficiency, enabling faster responses to brokers and improved quote conversion rates.

Day-to-Day:

* Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for AI-driven underwriting workflow automation.

* Define how AI tools for document intake, data extraction, and workflow orchestration integrate into the ecosystem.

* Design and oversee system integrations across platforms such as Salesforce and internal .NET applications.

* Partner with Business, Product, and Operations teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

* Evaluate and recommend AI tools and platforms to optimize underwriting processes.

* Drive the design and buildout of MDM (Master Data Management) platforms, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.

* Establish AI-first architecture principles and best practices.

* Assess current-state systems and define a roadmap to accelerate delivery and improve performance.

* Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams on design patterns and integration strategies.

Must Haves:

* 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture or similar roles

* 5+ years within the Insurance domain, preferably underwriting workflows

* Strong experience in workflow automation and enterprise system integration

* Proven expertise in AI solution integration (evaluation, design, and implementation)

* Experience with intelligent document processing / AI extraction tools (e.g., MEA or similar)

* Hands-on experience with MDM (Master Data Management) concepts and platforms

* Experience integrating systems with Salesforce and/or .NET-based applications

* Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across business and technical teams

* Experience assessing existing architectures and driving transformation initiatives.

Plusses:

* Exposure to AI-assisted enterprise tools (e.g., Copilot).

* Experience working with offshore teams and operational workflows.

* Background in underwriting operations or submission intake processes.

* Experience modernizing legacy systems using AI and automation.
