About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Solution Architect to help drive our clients’ Digital Foundation transformations. In this customer-facing role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor—shaping technology strategies, defining transformation roadmaps, and delivering solutions across Hybrid & Public Cloud, Enterprise Networks, Digital Workplace, and Automation.

You’ll collaborate with IT leaders, architects, delivery teams and HCL’s Centres of Excellence to create real impact in complex enterprise environments. What You Will Do

Strategic Advisory & Architecture Leadership

* Define Digital Foundation strategies across Cloud, Network, Workplace and Automation

* Build transformation roadmaps, operating models and actionable tech plans

* Represent HCL as a technology thought leader in senior forums

Solution Ownership & Delivery

* Own solution architecture across Transition & Transformation and BAU

* Create high-level architecture overviews and maintain architecture decision logs

* Validate NSSRs, approve SOWs and guide critical P1 incident resolution

Innovation & Value Creation

* Chair the Architecture Review Board and a client-facing Innovation Committee

* Produce 2–4 innovative solution whitepapers each year

* Organize an annual Innovation Day with clients and strategic partners

* Proactively identify opportunities and convert them into deliverable engagements

What You Bring

* 15+ years of IT experience, incl. 2+ years in a similar strategic architecture role

* Strong background in Hybrid Cloud transformations, DC migrations, Networks & Security, Digital Workplace

* Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure or GCP and understanding of cloud-native architectures

* Understanding of containers/Kubernetes, middleware stacks, databases

* Experience building TCO/ROI models and business cases

* Familiarity with EU & German financial-sector regulations (e.g., DORA, GDPR, BSI C6, KRITIS) is advantageous

* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders

* German language skills (min. C1) required
