2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Quality Operations Specialist plays a key role in advancing the safety, reliability, and quality of the autonomous driving platform. The position focuses on integrating and applying machine learning and AI tools to improve issue detection, triage, and quality assurance processes. This role serves as a vital connection between AI development and operational teams to ensure effective deployment of new technologies. The specialist influences the development of policies and quality control measures and provides technical leadership to support continuous improvement in software quality operations.

3. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Engineering to design, test, and deploy Machine Learning and Generative AI models and tools

• Use AI insights and triage signals to identify emerging issues, risk scenarios, and edge cases

• Develop and document policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures integrating AI tools into workflows

• Implement quality control processes for both human and AI-generated outputs

• Validate vendor work and provide feedback to improve performance

• Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with stakeholders and program leads to maximize AI/ML impact on quality processes

• Provide technical leadership and consultation to improve workflows and tooling

• Identify and escalate issues with tools and support user testing for new features

• Maintain sound judgment in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

• Communicate effectively across diverse teams

4. Requirements:

• BS/BA degree or 4 years of relevant experience in autonomous vehicle Software Quality Operations

• Proficiency in supporting all phases of the machine learning lifecycle, including data preparation, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring

• Experience in ML testing and validation, such as dataset quality assurance, bias detection, edge-case testing, and performance evaluation

• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and use proprietary tools

• Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including some weekends and holidays

Preferred:

• Proven ability to drive outcomes

• Experience working with offshore teams or multiple operations hubs

• Basic SQL querying skills

• Competency in LLM/transformer models or ML for robotics

• Strong subject matter expertise in analysis and customer consultation for solution development

• Self-motivated with task planning and time management skills

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary Range $130,000—$160,000 USD

• Eligibility to participate in discretionary annual bonus programs, equity incentive plans, and benefits programs subject to requirements
