Journify LearningFull Description
About Journify Learning
Journify Learning is the evidence-based AI assistant that maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of special education teams. It saves educators time by automating progress tracking and data integration across all support providers, while driving student outcomes through evidence-based practices such as High-Leverage Practices and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Today, Journify supports educators across 15+ U.S. states and is growing rapidly, empowering teachers, school leaders, and districts to personalize learning and strengthen compliance - all in one intuitive, intelligent platform.
Backed by leading edtech investors including Reach Capital and NewSchools Venture Fund, Journify has raised $3.7M to scale its mission. We've been recognized by Digital Promise for Responsible AI, named a winner of the Tools Competition (the world's largest edtech competition), and most recently selected for the ASU GSV Cup 50 as the winner of the K-12 track, out of 3,000+ global companies. Journify is leading the movement to bring ethical, evidence-based AI into classrooms and transform how special education teams work and collaborate.
If you're energized by building the data backbone that powers AI in schools, this is the place to make a difference.
The Role
Teachers work across a patchwork of tools every day. The data that matters most for student progress often lives scattered across those systems. There's a real opportunity to rethink how that data flows and to dramatically reduce the friction educators face in keeping a complete picture of each student.
This is a product-minded engineering role. You'll explore creative approaches to connecting disparate data sources with our platform, thinking carefully about user experience, handling messy real-world data, and building tools that feel effortless in a teacher's daily workflow. You'll work directly with the founding engineering team on a daily basis, shipping production-quality work in a fast-paced startup environment.
What We're Looking For
* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* A builder at heart - you enjoy creating tools that solve real problems, and you're comfortable getting creative with how you approach them
* Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks
* Experience working with the DOM, web scraping, or extracting structured data from unstructured web pages
* Product sensibility: you care about how something feels to use, not just whether it works
What You'll Get
* Meaningful ownership of a production tool used by educators nationwide
* Direct mentorship from the founding team (ex-Microsoft, Atlassian, Intuit)
* Exposure to the full breadth of an early-stage startup - from product decisions to technical architecture
* The chance to build something that directly improves outcomes for students with IEPs
Logistics
* Duration: Summer 2026 (10–12 weeks)
* Location: Remote (US/Canada)
* Hours: Fulltime
