Full Description

About Tally

Over $10T is spent on global supply chain and logistics services each year, yet nearly every invoice is still created manually. The complexity has historically been too great for traditional software to automate, with dozens of parties, contracts, and exceptions on every shipment.

Tally is the first billing platform that reasons, remembers, and understands the business complexity of every transaction, helping enterprise supply chain organisations accelerate their order to cash.

At its core is our logistics context graph, a live intelligence layer that maps every party, contract, and shipment event, and reasons across them to automate order-to-cash with accuracy. Tally understands the operational context behind every transaction to ensure invoices are complete, correct, and defensible.

Our team brings deep experience across logistics operations, enterprise systems, and AI infrastructure. We're backed by the best vertical AI investors and we're building a small, high-agency team who want to own foundational systems in a category-defining company.

Why This Role Matters

Most early-career engineers spend their first few years waiting for permission to do meaningful work. This is not that job. You'll work directly alongside our founding engineers on the systems that power Tally's core platform and contribute across the stack, learning fast, and building things that matter to real enterprise customers from day one.

What You'll Work On

* Building and iterating across the full stack: frontend, backend, data pipelines, and AI integrations - wherever the team needs you most

* Contributing to our logistics context graph, the core intelligence layer that maps parties, contracts, and shipment events to automate order-to-cash

* Shipping agent pipelines and AI-powered features that handle real documents, emails, and enterprise data at scale

* Writing reliable, observable, and testable code in a codebase you'll help shape from an early stage

* Prototyping and validating ideas quickly alongside the PM and founding engineers before committing to production

What We're Looking For

* 1 to 3 years of engineering experience, including internships and meaningful side or academic projects

* Strong fundamentals in TypeScript or a comparable language; eagerness to go deep on our stack

* Curiosity about AI and how large language models work in production, not just in demos

* Comfort with ambiguity; you figure things out and ask good questions rather than waiting for complete specs

* High ownership mindset - you treat the product like it's yours because at this stage, it is

* Low ego and a genuine desire to learn from engineers who have built this before

Bonus Points

* Any exposure to graph databases, vector search, or AI agent tooling

* Experience with Next.js, Hono, PostgreSQL, or Neo4j

* Projects or coursework touching logistics, supply chain, or enterprise finance

What to Expect

You'll have real agency, real mentorship, and real impact from day one. You'll be working at the cutting edge of vertical AI for enterprise,  the kind of problems most engineers don't get near until much later in their careers. Competitive salary and equity.
