Software Engineer – Musing AI (Pittsburgh, PA | Hybrid | Full-Time)

What You'll Do

You'll design, develop, and maintain software applications with a focus on back-end development, working closely within a cross-functional team to ship innovative, high-quality features. You’ll build and optimize lightweight yet powerful and scalable systems in the cloud to support our state-of-the-art humanistic AI and next-gen user experience. You'll own your work end to end, from architecture decisions to testing and best practices, and wear multiple hats as we scale. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to research-driven development at the frontier of human-AI collaboration. 

What We're Looking For

* 5+ years of full-time industry software engineering experience working on products at scale

* Strong CS & systems fundamentals, proficiency in back-end development (Python, FastAPI, MongoDB)

* Experience building and maintaining cloud-deployed production software systems (AWS, GCP), DevOps exposure strongly preferred (Docker, Github Actions)

* Comfortable with ambiguity, collaborative by nature, independently motivated, and deeply ownership-driven

* Experience with Agile process and AI-native development methodologies

* BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

* Exposure to AI/ML concepts and applications (agentic workflows, perception, inference system optimization, data engineering)
