Senior Go Engineer - Database Focus | Up to €105k B2B + PTO & Stock | Remote (EU)

A leading software company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Go, K8s, and databases to join one of the fastest-growing projects in the Cloud Native space. The ideal candidate will be a strong Go engineer with extensive experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. Kubernetes experience is also needed.

Responsibilities:

* Architect, implement, and manage database performance tooling using Go and C++.

* Ship capabilities focused on query inspection, index guidance, and automated tuning to drive tangible reductions in database spend.

* Enhance and support compatibility with PostgreSQL and MySQL wire protocols, along with major managed database platforms such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and Azure’s database offerings.

* Build systems for SQL parsing, execution plan evaluation, and intelligent recommendation engines that surface actionable optimization insights.

Qualifications:

* Solid software development proficiency in Go and/or C++.

* Hands-on experience operating and debugging PostgreSQL and/or MySQL within live production systems.

* Nice to have: Prior responsibility for diagnosing and resolving database performance issues - whether in a DBA, backend engineering, SRE, or similar role - including investigating slow SQL, improving indexing strategies, and fixing production data-layer incidents.
