We're hiring for an innovative fintech company specializing in payment processing and financial services. This employer focuses on developing robust backend solutions that handle complex business processes, financial accounting, and payment transactions efficiently at scale.

The Role

• Immerse yourself in a core product with a focus on backend development and financial accounting, progressing towards becoming a technical expert for architecture and implementation.

• Act as a technical sparring partner to the Product Owner, contributing expertise on payment accounting, billing logic, and financial data models.

• Translate functional and regulatory requirements into clean, scalable backend solutions with clear interface definitions for seamless integration.

• Develop and optimize high-performance batch and real-time processes for efficient large-scale data handling.

• Design and maintain relational data models (Oracle SQL), implement efficient ORM mapping, and perform performance tuning.

• Work within an agile Scrum team, taking responsibility for planning and delivery, and driving continuous improvements.

What You'll Need

• Relevant degree or equivalent IT education with at least 5 years of professional experience.

• Strong experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

• Deep understanding of financial accounting, payment processing, and complex business processes.

• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (preferably Oracle SQL Server) and ORM architectures.

• Experience in processing and optimizing mass data.

• Very good German and English language skills for collaboration in an international environment.
