Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help build the future of agri-food commerce. You will design and develop core platform features, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical decisions that shape our product. This is an opportunity to work on challenging problems at the intersection of supply chain, AI, and enterprise SaaS.

What You'll Do

* Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power the Arbia platform

* Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

* Lead code reviews and establish engineering best practices across the team

* Architect systems for high availability, performance, and security

* Mentor junior and intermediate engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing

* Contribute to technical roadmap planning and help prioritize engineering initiatives

* Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues

What We're Looking For

* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience

* Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python

* Experience building and operating production web applications and RESTful APIs

* Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and data modeling

* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

* Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks

* Familiarity with AI/ML workflows or integrating LLM-based features

* Background in supply chain, logistics, or B2B marketplace platforms

* Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup

* Contributions to open-source projects
