Senior Python Engineer – Real-Time AI Systems (LLMs Gen AI Asyncio)

* Location: Amsterdam Home based

* Home working with occasional client meetings in Amsterdam

* Salary Range: 55,000 – 80,000 Euros + On call retainer and overtime

* Hours – Standard working hours with fortnightly on call

* Role: Full-time – Permanent

* Start: ASAP

A global technology consultancy is hiring two Senior Python Engineers to work on a real-time voice application powered by Generative AI for a major financial services client.

The platform is a custom-built automation system that processes inputs from multiple data sources concurrently and adapts behaviour in real time.

This role is focused on building and operating high-performance asynchronous Python services in a production environment.

Key experience

• Strong Python engineering background

• Experience building asynchronous applications using Asyncio

• Modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Uvicorn, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic

• Experience deploying applications in Microsoft Azure

• Azure DevOps / CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems

Nice to have

• Exposure to LLM or AI-powered applications

• Experience with voice or speech systems

• Knowledge of Azure OpenAI or similar platforms

You’ll work on a mission-critical 24/7 system, contributing to both development and production support (with a structured on-call rota and additional compensation).
