Job Description

In this role, We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with Project Management expertise to lead AI/ML initiatives in Aerospace & Defense sector (Commercial, Business, Helicopter, Defense, Cargo, Leasing etc.).

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of AI/ML and data science projects across aerospace domain.

* Perform advanced market intelligence analysis, including demand forecasting, route profitability, and fleet lifecycle optimization

* Integrate external datasets (OEM data, Diio schedules, macroeconomic indicators) into analytical models.

* Design and develop advanced statistical and machine learning models for: Short-term, mid-term, and long-term fleet & departures forecasting

* Drive project execution using industry-standard project management tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Jira).

* Architect, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using tools such as Python, SQL, Spark, or AWS redshift.

* Design and develop AI-powered conversational agents/chatbots (using NLP/LLMs) to enable stakeholders to interact with data through a chat interface.

* Design and deploy machine learning models (predictive, prescriptive, and forecasting) using frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

* Develop and manage cloud-native solutions on AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, SageMaker, Redshift) for scalable data processing and model deployment.

* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for automated testing, integration, and deployment of data and ML workflows.

* Provide clear, data-driven storytelling through visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

* Contribute to web-based applications and interactive dashboards using modern frameworks (e.g., HTML/CSS, Java Script, React, Flask, Streamlit).

* Support Investor Relations and executive presentations with advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and performance metrics.

* Automate report generation and distribution pipelines for consistent and timely business reporting.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

* Master’s degree in Science

* Certified Project manager and AI certifications

* Generative AI and LLM model integration knowledge

* Project manager and people management skills to handle top leaderships team and internal

Skilled resources

* Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

* Experience managing global teams, driving data science and business strategy, and delivering scalable solutions

* Hand-on experience working in Aerospace & Defense industry

* Strong domain knowledge in market trends, fleet forecasting, and statistical modeling to support senior stakeholders.

Technical Skills

* Expertise in Python, R, SQL for data analysis and modeling.

* Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, and Forecasting techniques.

* Experience with AWS Cloud Services (S3, SageMaker, Lambda, etc.).

* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

* Proficiency in GitHub or similar version control tools.

* Knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, APIs).

Business & Domain Skills

* Deep understanding of Aerospace & Defense sectors with hands-on knowledge of business KPIs (i.e. RPK, Yield, Utilization, Cycles, Load Factor, RASK, etc.).

* Experience in sales and marketing analytics within aviation.

* Strong business acumen with ability to influence strategic decisions.

* Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
