2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Forecasting will design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable machine learning systems that enhance forecasting and decision support across the organization. This role translates advanced forecasting techniques into reliable, production-grade solutions that support critical business processes and strategic planning. The position is key to creating robust ML infrastructure and enabling data-driven decision-making for multi-horizon planning.
3. Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain scalable ML systems and forecasting pipelines for demand forecasting over varied time horizons
• Productionize statistical, Bayesian, and ML forecasting models including training, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Build and optimize data pipelines, feature engineering workflows, and inference systems for large datasets
• Manage end-to-end ML engineering lifecycle including design, prototyping, integration, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Develop MLOps capabilities such as model versioning, CI/CD, automated retraining, performance monitoring, drift detection, and rollback strategies
• Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to operationalize forecasting and simulation tools for strategic decision-making
• Promote software engineering best practices including code quality, documentation, reproducibility, and system reliability
• Research emerging ML tools, platforms, and methodologies for potential business applications
4. Requirements:
• Doctorate degree OR
• Master’s degree with 2 years of enterprise data science experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of enterprise data science experience OR
• Associate’s degree with 8 years of enterprise data science experience OR
• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of enterprise data science experience
Preferred:
• 6+ years in machine learning or software engineering with production ML deployment experience
• Expertise in end-to-end ML pipeline development for forecasting or predictive modeling
• Experience operationalizing probabilistic, Bayesian, or predictive models in production
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, and tools such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ML workflow orchestration
• Experience with cloud platforms, distributed data processing, containerization, and ML deployment
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including system design, testing, optimization, and maintainability
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to develop scalable solutions from ambiguous problems independently
• Experience with forecasting models in biotech or pharma, including knowledge of healthcare commercial concepts
• Experience partnering with data scientists to deliver reliable production services
• Experience applying ML and forecasting in retail, consumer goods, supply chain, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with model monitoring, explainability, and governance in regulated or high-impact environments
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
