Role - Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Warehouse Engineer to join our growing data team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and models that power analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to transform complex business requirements into reliable, high‑quality data assets inside our Snowflake data warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Development

* Architect, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from diverse source systems into Snowflake.

* Ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance across data pipelines.

Collaborative Data Modeling

* Partner with Information Architects, Analysts, and Product teams to design and implement advanced data models aligned with business needs.

* Apply best‑in‑class modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault, etc.) to support analytics and reporting use cases.

Transformation & Automation

* Build modular, tested, and well‑documented transformations using dbt (data build tool).

* Drive automation and standardization across the transformation layer.

Data Quality & Best Practices

* Establish and enforce ETL/ELT best practices, data governance, and code standards.

* Ensure data accuracy, lineage transparency, and query performance optimization across the warehouse.

Required Qualifications

* 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Warehousing and end-to-end data lifecycle management.

* Expert-level SQL skills, including query tuning and performance optimization.

* Strong experience building production-grade pipelines using dbt.

* Deep understanding of data modeling frameworks such as:

* Star Schema

* Kimball

* Data Vault

* Proficiency with Snowflake including warehouse configuration, optimization, and cost management.

* Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data governance, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

* Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices.

* Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, etc.).

* Exposure to data observability tools.
