Lead Data Engineer | Hybrid

We're hiring for a prominent fintech organization specializing in payments, dunning, invoicing, and collections. This employer leverages cutting-edge data solutions to power analytics, business intelligence, and AI across its financial ecosystem.

The Role

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality data pipelines and data products.

• Build and scale a high-performing data engineering team, transforming raw data into trusted assets.

• Define and execute the data engineering vision and roadmap, aligning with the overall Data, AI & Analytics strategy.

• Oversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple internal and external sources.

• Implement data quality frameworks and automation, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

• Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration within agile data product teams.

What You'll Need

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3-5 years in a leadership role managing multi-team delivery.

• Proven success leading data engineering functions within agile, cross-functional data product teams.

• Strong technical expertise in Azure, SQL, Python, and modern data transformation/orchestration.

• Deep experience with cloud-based data lakehouses (Azure cloud, Databricks Medallion architecture).

• Expertise in data modeling, transformation, and quality assurance for analytical and operational use cases.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in cross-functional agile environments.
