BT-472 – Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Reston, VA

Required Qualifications:

• 8-15 years of technical experience relevant to this position

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus

• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical expertise and hands on experience as an architect and a cloud engineer with knowledge for applying these skills to cloud, cloud migrations, cyber security, and customer mission challenges.

• Experience or training with variety of Oracle technologies preferred including the applicability and usage of these technologies by customers. Cloud certifications are a plus.

• Passion for technology, the curiosity and willingness to constantly learn new skills, work with new tools and discover new and innovative approaches to solving complex technical challenges.

• Hands on experience as a cloud architectural engineer.

• Good understanding of networking and required security therein.

• Guide clients in infrastructure migration techniques, including any refactoring necessary for optimal use of cloud native capabilities in regard to mission success and cost.

• Identify and design cloud architectures specific to each customer mission and develop required implementation strategy.

• Hands on experience implementing cloud IaaS via console, CLI, APIs, and REST interfaces in AWS or other Cloud environments.

• Hands on experience in integrating and implementing Micro-services, cloud native applications, and various other platforms as a service.

• Experience in implementing systems in Oracle Cloud, or AWS, or Azure, or other Cloud environments.

• The ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions

• The ability to lead a team of engineers/consultants.
