Accountabilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting financial products and payment infrastructure.

* Build and optimize systems related to payouts, reconciliation, onboarding automation, fraud detection, and financial transaction workflows.

* Collaborate closely with data science, product, and leadership teams to define technical solutions and product strategies.

* Improve infrastructure scalability, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency as the platform grows globally.

* Integrate and maintain connections with banking partners, financial service providers, and third-party APIs.

* Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term system improvements.

* Contribute to the development of future financial products, including lending, payment flexibility solutions, and additional fintech offerings.

* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while following modern software engineering best practices.

* Support cross-functional initiatives by contributing to internal tooling, customer issue resolution, vendor evaluations, and operational improvements.

* Participate actively in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and iterative product development processes.

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience as a backend or software engineer working on complex, scalable production systems.

* Strong experience in fintech or financial services environments with exposure to transaction systems, financial workflows, or payment infrastructure.

* Proficiency in at least one modern programming language with strong backend development expertise.

* Solid SQL skills with experience writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.

* Experience designing scalable distributed systems and maintaining high-availability production environments.

* Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.

* Experience building and maintaining APIs and integrations with third-party services.

* Commitment to software quality through testing, code reviews, and iterative development practices.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills within remote and cross-functional teams.

* Self-driven and proactive mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-moving startup environments.

* Experience with Python, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, React, or SPA applications is considered a plus.
