Senior AI Ops Engineer – Edinburgh / London (Hybrid)

£80,000 – £110,000 + Package

AI Connect are partnering with a major organisation to help them hire a Senior AI Ops Engineer. You’ll join a growing AI function responsible for deploying, scaling, and optimising machine learning and LLM models in production.

This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines ensuring AI systems are reliable, performant, and built to operate at enterprise scale.

What You’ll Do

* Deploy, manage, and optimise ML and LLM models in production environments.

* Improve model performance, latency, and scalability, ensuring systems meet real-world demands.

* Build and maintain pipelines for model inference, versioning, and deployment.

* Develop and implement evaluation, monitoring, and drift detection frameworks.

* Work closely with data scientists and engineers to take models from development through to production.

* Debug and resolve complex issues across data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and model performance.

* Contribute to the design and optimisation of cloud-based AI platforms and tooling.

Key Skills & Experience

* Strong experience in AI Engineering / MLOps, with a focus on deploying models into production.

* Hands-on experience optimising model performance, inference speed, and system scalability.

* Strong experience with AWS, including services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Airflow.

* Solid understanding of data engineering and pipelines, with experience in Python, PySpark, and SQL.

* Experience with model deployment, versioning, and monitoring tools (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow or similar).

* Experience working with ML and/or LLM models in live production environments.
