Location: Africa / South Africa

Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised leader in safety technologies and controlled environments for the underground mining, tunnelling, chemical processing, disaster relief and biotechnology industries. Their solutions include emergency refuge chambers, disaster shelters, tracking systems, remote diagnostics, gas monitoring and other specialist safety equipment used across high-risk industrial environments.

With operations in more than 75 countries and multiple global offices and manufacturing facilities, the organisation continues to expand its footprint across Africa and is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead its regional commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the African sales strategy, driving revenue growth across mining and industrial sectors.

• Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers while overseeing distributor and partner relationships across the region.

• Develop strong relationships with mining companies, industry stakeholders and key decision-makers across Africa.

• Identify and secure new business opportunities while managing tenders, quotations and contract negotiations.

• Represent the business through extensive travel to mine sites, industry events, client presentations and trade exhibitions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior sales or business development role.

• Proven track record selling equipment, plant or technical solutions into mining, construction or related heavy industries.

• Experience managing sales teams and regional distribution networks.

• Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to present to senior executives and operational stakeholders.

• Technically minded with strong communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
