Role Description

We are looking for a remote Appointment Setter (Independent Contractor) to support Nurtureme.ai's AI-powered recruitment platform.

In this role, you will be responsible for making outbound calls and follow-ups to US-based leads to qualify interest and schedule appointments for product demonstrations and sales conversations. This is not a closing role; the focus is on initial outreach, qualification, and appointment scheduling.

You will play a key role at the top of the funnel, ensuring timely follow-ups, professional communication, and proper prospect qualification. Performance is reviewed weekly based on results and appointment quality, not hours worked. Contract continuity is subject to meeting agreed performance targets.

This is an independent contractor role with no fixed schedule; however, contractors set their own hours within US business hours (generally 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST / 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM SAST) to align with lead availability and campaign activity.

This role is well suited for candidates based in South Africa given the workable timezone overlap with US Eastern hours. It is especially ideal for self-driven individuals who are comfortable communicating with US-based prospects, capable of managing their own workflow, and at ease in a results-oriented environment with clear performance metrics.

Responsibilities

* Conduct outbound calls to assigned leads using approved tools and systems

* Follow up to confirm interest and availability

* Qualify prospects according to company-defined criteria

* Schedule qualified appointments in designated calendar systems. A qualified appointment requires the prospect to confirm the meeting in advance, meet the company's qualification criteria, and attend the scheduled appointment

* Accurately log call outcomes, notes, and follow-up actions in the CRM on the same day the activity occurs

* Maintain clear, professional communication with prospects at all times

* Ensure consistent follow-up to maximize contact and scheduling rates

* Work assigned leads fully and sequentially in accordance with company procedures

* This role focuses exclusively on outreach, qualification, and appointment scheduling and does not include any sales closing activities

Deliverables and Expectations

Contractors in this role are accountable for delivering the following outcomes:

* Qualified appointments scheduled in accordance with company-defined criteria, including prospect confirmation, qualification compliance, and meeting attendance

* Consistent follow-up execution to maximize contact and scheduling rates

* Accurate and timely documentation of all activities, outcomes, and follow-ups in the CRM on the same business day they occur

* Monthly results aligned with agreed targets, including appointment quality and quantity

Requirements

* Strong spoken and written English (interviews and daily communication are conducted in English)

* Prior experience in appointment setting, outbound calling, or similar customer-facing or outreach roles

* Comfort communicating by phone with US-based prospects

* Ability to work independently and manage activity without close supervision

* Results-driven mindset with a high level of follow-through

* Reliable internet connection and a professional, quiet workspace

* Experience using CRM systems is a plus

Compensation

Compensation is structured as a professional services arrangement (independent contractor) and is fully performance-based:

* 5% commission on every sale closed from an appointment you book. With an average deal value of $4,000, each converted appointment earns you $200

* There is no base retainer. Your earning potential is directly tied to the quality and conversion of the appointments you set

* Performance bonuses tied to the quality of qualified appointments scheduled

* Bonuses are not guaranteed, are discretionary, and are awarded based on defined performance criteria

* Compensation details are reviewed during the interview and offer process

* 100% remote independent contractor role

* Contractors set their own schedule within US business hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST / 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM SAST)

* Onboarding and orientation provided on tools, systems, and qualification criteria
