Robotics Research Intern
Deepreach.aiFull Description
About the Company
DeepReach is building the next-generation data infrastructure for robotics. We help bridge the gap between promising robot models and real-world deployment by building the systems, data pipelines, and learning loops needed to make robots improve in production. We believe robotics progress will be driven not just by better models, but by better data engines: how data is collected, filtered, evaluated, and turned into measurable gains on real tasks. Our team works across robot deployment, teleoperation, data generation, model training, and evaluation, with a strong bias toward hands-on execution and fast iteration.
About the Role
As a Robotics Research Intern, you will work on applied problems across VLA, robot learning, and computer vision for robotics. This is a generalist role for candidates who are excited about embodied AI and want to contribute to real systems rather than only benchmark results. You may work on projects such as training or fine-tuning visuomotor models, improving perception pipelines, building data curation tools, reproducing recent research, or helping connect model improvements to real deployment tasks. We are looking for people who can read papers, implement ideas quickly, and iterate independently in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
* Support projects across VLA, robot learning, and computer vision
* Read papers, reproduce useful results, and adapt them to practical robotics workflows
* Help build or improve training, evaluation, and data processing pipelines
* Work on perception, dataset curation, model experimentation, or deployment-facing research tasks depending on your strengths
* Design and run experiments with clear metrics and communicate findings clearly
* Collaborate closely with the team to turn ambiguous technical problems into measurable progress
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Required Skills
* Strong foundation in at least one of the following:
* robot learning, imitation learning, RL, diffusion policy, VLA, or visuomotor learning
* computer vision for robotics, including detection, segmentation, tracking, multi-view geometry, 3D vision, RGB-D, or video understanding
*
* Strong coding skills in Python
* Familiarity with PyTorch and modern ML experimentation workflows
* Ability to read technical papers and turn them into working implementations
* Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, and a high-ownership mindset
Preferred Skills
* Experience with real-world robotics systems
* Experience with camera calibration, sensor pipelines, or multi-camera setups
* Experience with robot learning datasets, teleoperation data, or embodied AI research
* Experience building research code that is robust enough for team use
* GitHub projects, research publications, competition results, or demo videos that show strong execution
* Real-world robotics experience is a plus, but strong project or research experience is also acceptable.

Equal Opportunity Statement
We conduct regular resume screening for applications from both channels simultaneously. If your profile passes the initial review, our team will send an interview invitation via email for further communication. After shortlisting, we will match your background to the suitable track: Computer Vision / VLA / ML Infrastructure, and share the full role details accordingly.
How to Apply
You may apply in two optional ways:
* Directly submit your resume by applying to this position on the current job platform;
* Visit our official website talex.ai to find and submit your application for the corresponding combined role.
