Process Automation Specialist (Industrial Automation & Engineering Systems)

Overview

A leading organisation in the renewable energy and smart grid sector is seeking a Process Automation Specialist to support and optimise engineering workflows through advanced automation solutions.

This role focuses on improving efficiency, standardisation, and scalability of engineering outputs by reducing manual processes and enhancing data-driven system integration.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, SCADA, and project management teams to deliver high-impact automation tools and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

Process Automation & Tool Development

* Design, develop, and maintain automation tools supporting engineering workflows

* Build reusable templates and structured data systems for technical outputs

* Standardise and optimise engineering processes to improve efficiency and consistency

Data & Technical Output Automation

* Automate generation of:

* Signal lists (I/O, process signals, mapping)

* IP addressing and network configuration tables

* Structured documentation and technical deliverables

* Enable automated production of CAD drawings and technical documentation from structured data

Systems Integration

* Integrate engineering tools (e.g., CAD), spreadsheets, and automation scripts

* Support implementation and integration of enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle, ClickUp)

* Act as a first-level system integrator across technical platforms

Continuous Improvement

* Maintain and enhance existing automation tools

* Support engineering teams in adopting new systems and tools

* Translate business and technical requirements into scalable automation solutions

Requirements

Experience & Education

* 1–3 years’ experience in automation, scripting, software tools, or technical development

* Background in IT, engineering, or technical disciplines preferred

Technical Skills

* Strong Python skills for automation and scripting

* Experience working with APIs and system integrations

* Proficiency in structured data formats (JSON, CSV, Excel)

* Advanced Excel skills (macros, VBA)

* Exposure to CAD tools and technical drawing automation

* Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, subnetting)

* Knowledge of databases and Oracle systems is advantageous

Importante realtà operante nei settori delle energie rinnovabili e smart grid ricerca un/una Process Automation Specialist per supportare l’automazione e l’ottimizzazione dei processi di ingegneria.

Il ruolo ha l’obiettivo di migliorare efficienza, standardizzazione e qualità degli output tecnici, riducendo le attività manuali e aumentando la scalabilità dei processi.

La posizione è trasversale e prevede collaborazione con team di ingegneria, SCADA e project management.

Responsabilità principali

Automazione dei processi

* Progettazione e sviluppo di soluzioni software per automatizzare i processi di ingegneria

* Creazione di template e strutture dati riutilizzabili

* Standardizzazione dei flussi di lavoro tecnici

Automazione output tecnici

* Generazione automatizzata di:

* Liste segnali (I/O, mapping, segnali di processo)

* Tabelle di indirizzamento IP e configurazioni di rete

* Documentazione tecnica strutturata

* Automazione della produzione di elaborati CAD e documentazione tecnica

Integrazione sistemi

* Integrazione tra strumenti CAD, fogli Excel e script di automazione

* Supporto all’introduzione e integrazione di sistemi enterprise (Oracle, ClickUp)

* Attività di system integration di primo livello

Miglioramento continuo

* Manutenzione e ottimizzazione degli strumenti esistenti

* Supporto ai team tecnici nell’adozione delle soluzioni sviluppate

* Raccolta requisiti e traduzione in soluzioni automatizzate

Requisiti

Formazione ed esperienza

* 1–3 anni di esperienza in ambito automazione, sviluppo tool o scripting

* Formazione tecnica o informatica preferibile

Competenze tecniche

* Buona conoscenza di Python

* Esperienza con API e integrazione sistemi

* Gestione dati strutturati (JSON, CSV, Excel)

* Excel avanzato (macro, VBA)

* Utilizzo strumenti CAD

* Conoscenze base di networking (IP, subnet)

* Familiarità con database e sistemi Oracle (plus)
