Principal Microsoft Solutions Architect

 eSoftware Associates Inc. is seeking a hands-on Principal Architect to lead technical architecture, quality delivery, and Microsoft-native AI/Copilot solution strategy across client projects.

This is a senior client-facing role for someone with deep Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Dataverse, Power Automate, Copilot, and AI delivery experience.

You will help lead technical discovery, architect solutions, support sales and estimating, mentor junior developers, review contractor work, and help ESW build repeatable offerings around AI readiness, Copilot adoption, AI agents, governance, automation, and Microsoft 365 modernization.

The right person is not just technical. They understand consulting, client communication, delivery risk, scope, budgets, and how to turn business problems into practical Microsoft-based solutions.

Responsibilities

* Lead technical discovery and architecture for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Copilot, and AI-related projects.

* Support sales calls and roadmap engagements for complex opportunities.

* Create and review estimates, scopes, and technical designs before proposals are finalized.

* Guide clients on AI readiness, Copilot planning, Microsoft 365 governance, automation, and AI agent strategy.

* Mentor developers and contractors.

* Improve delivery standards, architecture reviews, documentation, and technical quality.

* Help create repeatable consulting offerings around AI readiness, Copilot, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 modernization.

 Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior Microsoft architect who is comfortable with clients, developers, executives, and business users.

You should be able to listen to a messy business problem, break it down, recommend a practical architecture, explain it clearly, and help the team deliver it successfully.

You are not just a technologist. You understand consulting, budgets, timelines, scope, delivery risk, and client confidence.

Requirements

* 8+ years in Microsoft consulting, solution architecture, or technical delivery.

* Strong experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Teams.

* Experience leading technical discussions, discovery sessions, solution architecture, and delivery for client-facing projects.

* Strong understanding of architecture, delivery risk, estimates, and consulting project execution.

* Ability to communicate clearly with executives, IT leaders, business users, and developers.

* Experience mentoring technical teams and/or reviewing developer work.

Preferred

* Copilot Studio / Microsoft Copilot experience.

* AI readiness, governance, and/or enterprise AI adoption experience.

* Azure, Azure OpenAI, Entra ID, Power BI, and/or integration experience.

* Experience creating technical standards, delivery playbooks, and reusable consulting frameworks.

* Experience supporting technical sales, discovery, and proposal development.

This is a remote role. U.S.-based candidates strongly preferred. We are open to full-time, fractional, or senior contractor structures for the right person.
