Part-Time Talent Coordinator

# lemonly | Part-Time Talent Coordinator – Job Spec

## The Opportunity: lemonly
### **We're building the future of how people get hired**
At **lemonly** ([lemonly.ai](https://lemonly.ai)), we believe talent acquisition is broken – for candidates and companies alike. Candidates send hundreds of applications into the void and never hear back. Companies pay enormous recruiter fees or wade through endless resumes. We're fixing both sides.
lemonly is an AI-native sourcing platform that finds, qualifies, and introduces candidates who'd never see a job post, let alone get past an ATS. We search millions of profiles, assess them against real job requirements, and deliver 8–10 pre-vetted candidates per role – so hiring managers only interview people actually worth meeting. No placement fees, no job applications, no wasted time.
We're six months old, already serving 20+ customers across healthcare, luxury travel, robotics, e-commerce, and digital marketing – and we've more than doubled our revenue in just the past two months. We're backed by Canada's largest startup incubator, and we're just getting started.
What makes lemonly different is our approach – where most companies see AI as a replacement for people, we see it as something that enhances human judgment. We've built internal tooling that doesn't exist anywhere else – AI-powered candidate discovery, automated resume generation, interview analysis, CRM workflows – all designed to make the human parts of recruiting faster and sharper for both us and the candidates. Our three-person founding team brings deep expertise across talent acquisition, marketing, and software development.
If you want to get a break into the world of Talent Acquisition, while learning how startups are built and shaping the future of hiring – this is your chance.

## The Role: Part-Time Talent Coordinator
We're looking for a **sharp, curious, and people-oriented Part-Time Talent Coordinator** to join our founding team and help us qualify candidates across multiple live roles.
This is a real recruiting role – not admin work. You'll be taking 15–20 minute intro calls with candidates, assessing their fit for specific positions, selling them on the opportunity, and deciding who moves forward alongside the Founders. You'll be one of the first people a candidate speaks to, and your judgment directly shapes who our clients end up hiring.
You'll be doing this with the help of custom-built AI tools that handle the interview preparation, data enrichment, and initial pre-screening – so by the time a candidate lands on your calendar, you already know a lot about them. Your job is the part that AI can't do: connect with the person, understand their motivations, uncover the hidden insights that a resume can't, sell them on the opportunity, and make the call around if they're a fit.
This is a part-time role to start – roughly 8-10 hours per week – with the potential to grow into full-time based on performance.
---
## What You'll Do
- Take **candidate intro calls** (15–20 min) – assess experience, motivations, and fit against the role requirements
- **Sell the opportunity** – candidates are evaluating the role just as much as you're evaluating them. You need to pitch the company, the position, and the career opportunity with conviction
- **Advise on the call** – help the Founders to decide which candidates advance to the client and which don't.
- **Redraft candidate resumes** – take raw CVs and shape them into compelling, client-ready presentations using our branded templates and AI tooling
- **Keep the CRM updated** – log call outcomes, update candidate statuses, and keep the pipeline clean
- **Follow up** – send JDs, answer candidate questions, coordinate next steps between calls
- **Shape the product** – you'll be a daily user of lemonly's internal tools. When something doesn't work or could be better, tell us. You'll work directly with the engineering team to design improvements
---
## What Success Looks Like
In your first week, you'll shadow calls and study recorded interviews to learn how we assess candidates. By week 2, you'll be running calls independently – this is a role with real speed, and real responsibility.
By week 4, you'll be comfortably handling up to 20 calls per week across multiple roles, deciding which candidates progress alongside the Founders, and capturing product feedback to improve the experience for everyone. The candidates you advance should consistently be ones the client wants to interview – that's how we'll know your judgment is calibrated.
Every candidate lemonly introduces to our clients meets all of their requirements. You'll need to stay true to this promise, ensuring we introduce the very best but never skipping over hidden talent.

## What We're Looking For
### Must-Haves
- **Some experience in sales, customer service, hospitality** or any role where you had to talk to a lot of people and understand their needs quickly
- **You've started your own thing.** Whether it's a student club, a YouTube channel, an eyelash business. You have experience managing yourself.
- **You measure yourself in numbers.** Consistently, repeatedly, and across the board.
- **Strong conversational skills** – you can hold a structured conversation, ask the right follow-up questions, and make people feel comfortable while still getting the information you need
- **Good judgment about people** – you can tell the difference between someone who's polished and someone who's genuinely strong. You pick up on what people aren't saying
- **Reliability** – you commit to a weekly schedule and you show up. Candidates are booked into your calendar and they're expecting you
- **Comfort with technology** – you'll be using AI tools, CRM systems, video calls, and document templates daily. You don't need to be technical, but you can't be afraid of new tools
- **Based in Vancouver** – this is a remote role, but we'll meet in person occasionally.
- **Available for a consistent weekly schedule** – you choose the hours, but they stay the same each week (e.g. every weekday 3–5pm, or Monday & Thursday 9am–1pm)
### Nice-to-Haves
- **Some previous experience in recruiting**, HR, or talent acquisition (even a co-op or internship)
- Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) in a work or academic setting
- Interest in startups, technology, or the future of work
---
## What to Expect
- **You'll learn fast.** This role compresses years of recruiting intuition into weeks. You'll take dozens of candidate calls across different industries and roles, and you'll develop a sharp sense for what makes someone a strong hire.
- **You'll use AI tools that most don't even know exist.** lemonly's internal stack is built from scratch – candidate assessment, resume generation, interview analysis, outreach automation. You'll be working at the frontier of how AI and human judgment combine.
- **You'll work directly with the founders.** This is a three-person team. There's no middle management, no bureaucracy. Your feedback shapes the product and the process.
- **There's real growth here.** This starts at 10 hours per week, but lemonly is scaling quickly. If you're good and the volume is there, this can become a bigger role. The first person to hold a title at a startup often gets to define what that title means.
---
## Why This Role Is Different
- **You're not fetching coffee.** This is entry-level in title, but the work is real. You'll be making decisions that directly affect who gets hired – and your advice will be with real candidates for real roles at real companies.
- **You'll sit at the intersection of AI and recruiting** – and understand both better than almost anyone your age. That combination is going to be extremely valuable over the next decade.
- **You'll understand how hiring actually works** – from the other side of the table. You'll know what companies look for, how decisions get made, and what separates candidates who get hired from those who don't. That knowledge compounds for your entire career.
- **You'll be part of building the future.** lemonly is six months old. The playbook isn't written. Your ideas about how to run calls, assess candidates, and improve the process will actually get implemented, and eventually shape the future of how people get hired.
---
## Compensation & Details
- **Rate:** $25/hour CAD
- **Hours:** ~8-10 hours/week (flexible schedule, consistent weekly commitment)
- **Type:** Independent contractor
- **Location:** Remote (Vancouver)
- **Growth:** Potential to scale hours and responsibility based on performance

If you're early in your career, sharp with people, and excited about joining a startup that's rethinking how talent gets discovered – **we'd love to hear from you.**
