Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Operations Lead at Cobalt. As the Operations Lead, you will oversee daily operational activities, implement efficient business processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and improve operational strategies. Key responsibilities include managing workflows, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring deliverables align with company objectives. You will also identify process improvement opportunities and facilitate the implementation of best practices.

* Proven expertise in operational management, team coordination, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to analyze data, optimize workflows, and implement process improvements

* Strong skills in project management and cross-functional team collaboration

* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

* Technical proficiency in relevant tools and systems; familiarity with AI or data-driven systems is a plus

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree is a bonus

* Experience in a technology or data research environment is advantageous

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote working environment

What you'll do

* Own customer engagements end-to-end, kickoff, milestone tracking, weekly status, delivery, retro

* Translate customer requirements into project plans: scope, timeline, expert needs, deliverable spec, success criteria

* Coordinate across the expert network, research team, and customer to keep work moving and surface blockers early

* Build the operational playbook as you go; templates, trackers, QC checklists, handoff docs — so the second and tenth engagements run smoother than the first

* Be the customer's primary day-to-day contact, with the founders pulled in for strategic moments

* Partner with research on data quality: catching issues before they reach the customer, building feedback loops back to expert recruitment and protocol design
