Natural Language Processing Engineer

Senior NLP Engineer - Remote - up to $220k

We’re partnered with a Series B backed startup with proven product-market fit and fresh backing from leading VCs. They’ve already validated their product in the market and are now doubling down on scale. This role offers the chance to shape how advanced NLP systems are designed, built, and deployed into production at a pivotal growth stage.

What you’ll do

* Enhance search and retrieval systems using advanced NLP techniques

* Build pipelines that process and analyse unstructured data — text, tables, and documents

* Design and deploy entity extraction and text classification models

* Improve context-aware systems by integrating embeddings, retrieval, and external data sources

* Experiment with and fine-tune models to improve robustness and accuracy

* Contribute to language models and agentic LLM applications tailored for real-world use

What you’ll bring

* Strong Python engineering skills and experience with NLP/ML frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, spaCy, NLTK, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

* Hands-on experience with information retrieval and search technologies (vector embeddings, graph databases, elasticsearch)

* Familiarity with RAG techniques and building LLM-powered applications

* ~2+ years working with NLP in production environments

* Solid understanding of how to take models from prototype to scalable systems

* Bonus: experience training or fine-tuning proprietary models, or developing complex agentic workflows
