Data centers are becoming one of the fastest-growing electricity consumers in history, especially AI and HPC clusters. At the same time, power systems are increasingly driven by renewable generation, creating volatility in prices, carbon intensity, and grid conditions.

Loadwise builds software that allows compute infrastructure to respond intelligently to these energy signals. We connect data center infrastructure directly to real-time energy markets and grid signals, enabling cost-optimal and carbon-aware operation of compute workloads and energy assets.

Our goal is simple: Make sure the infrastructure powering humanity’s most powerful technology runs on humanity’s best and cheapest energy source.

We are fully financed at pre-seed, backed by leading European VCs and angels from some of the best energy, infrastructure, and SaaS companies. Based in Berlin.

We Are Hiring

We are building our founding team. Every role carries full ownership from day one, direct access to the founders, and meaningful equity. We are looking for exceptional people across these areas:

* Optimization & Control: Time-series forecasting, model predictive control, and dispatch optimization for energy assets in live data center environments. Where ML meets physical systems.

* Facility Systems & Energy Infrastructure: The intersection of data center infrastructure (DCIM, BMS, cooling, UPS, BESS) and software-controllable energy systems. Bridging operational facility reality and the platform.

* Platform & Backend Engineering: The full backend stack: protocol adapters for industrial systems, data pipelines, APIs, and production infrastructure. The platform that connects physical infrastructure to energy markets.

* Energy Markets & Grid Integration: Demand response programs, grid signal integration, TSO/DSO relationships, and the commercial and technical frameworks that connect the platform to European energy markets.

* Regulatory & Policy: EU energy market design, flexibility frameworks, grid services for large consumers, and the institutional partnerships that shape what the platform can access and influence.

What We Look For Across All Roles

* 3+ years of battle-tested production experience, depending on the role

* Domain knowledge in energy systems, data center infrastructure, or grid operations

* Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor with broad ownership in a small team

* You treat AI tools as genuine force multipliers, not novelties

* Able to maintain a strong in-person presence in Berlin (relocation support provided)
