About Xpreso
Xpreso (xpreso.ai) is an AI-powered recruiting platform built for European tech. Our voice-first AI agent, Nina, screens candidates and matches them to roles — cutting through the noise of the modern job search and making hiring smarter for both sides. We're launching in the DACH market and need someone to help us make some noise.
The Role
We're looking for a freelance marketer to own our launch presence — specifically aimed at tech candidates in the European market. You'll build Xpreso's voice from the ground up and run campaigns that get the right people through the door.
You'll work directly with the founders and product team, and you won't be going it alone: a designer is already on board and a PR partner will support on earned media. Your job is to lead the marketing effort, own the output, and make sure everything pulls in the same direction.
This is an execution role as much as a strategic one. We want someone who thinks clearly and then goes and does it.
What You'll Own
Social media — LinkedIn & Instagram
* Build and manage Xpreso's presence on LinkedIn and Instagram from scratch
* Develop a content rhythm that's sharp, human, and speaks directly to tech candidates — not a corporate broadcast
* Create and publish content — written posts, short-form video, stories, carousels — that grows our following and drives candidate sign-ups
* Organic-first, with paid amplification handled by further support when needed
* Engage actively with relevant communities and conversations
Guerilla marketing
* Conceive and execute activations in Berlin that create real-world buzz among tech candidates — events, campuses, co-working spaces, anywhere they already are
* You're not just the ideas person — you coordinate logistics and show up on the ground
Campaign conception & execution
* Design and run campaigns around key launch moments and milestones, working across the founding team, designer, and PR support
* Define the goal, the message, the channels, and the metrics — then deliver
* Test and iterate quickly
What Success Looks Like
This is a 3-month engagement covering the full launch arc: pre-launch build-up, the launch moment, and post-launch evaluation.
At launch: Xpreso has a clear, consistent voice on LinkedIn and Instagram, at least one guerilla activation has landed, and we can point to measurable early traction — followers, sign-ups, conversations started.
By month 3: A campaign playbook exists, we have a growing and engaged audience, and you've handed over a structured evaluation of what worked and what comes next.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
* Proven track record running social media for a brand — you've grown accounts and know what makes content perform on LinkedIn and Instagram
* Experience leading marketing campaigns end-to-end, from concept to results
* A strong feel for tone — you're writing for tech candidates, not corporates
* Comfortable working hands-on and moving fast in an early-stage environment
* Based in Berlin — guerilla work requires you to be on the ground
* Fluent in English and German
Nice-to-haves
* Experience at a startup or consumer tech product at launch stage
* Existing network in the Berlin tech or startup scene
* Basic video or design skills (Canva, CapCut, or similar)
* Familiarity with recruiting or HR tech
The Setup
You'll work directly with the founders and product team — no layers, fast decisions. A brand identity and visual direction are already in place. The founders will be involved and visible as faces of the brand where relevant. PR and paid media support are available so you can focus on what you do best. Budget is meaningful and sized for real impact.
What This Is Not
This is not a role where you hand briefs to an agency and manage from a distance. You'll be leading and executing alongside a small, fast-moving team. If you need heavy sign-off cycles to move, this won't be the right fit.
