Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role, located in Mississauga, ON. As Machine Vision Developer, you are a driven and technology savvy specialist who thrives on:
· designing, programming and documenting
· implementing cutting-edge products with software and hardware solutions,
· lead development of Machine Vision algorithmic coding,
· designing hardware layout such as illumination, lenses and cameras to create products for our customers,
· collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and provide new or update solutions,
· work closely with clients to ensure project milestones are successfully met.
· Other duties as identified.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
· Computer Vision or Machine Vision Practical experience
· In-depth experience with Computer Vision / Machine Vision methods and development tools:
· Matrox/Zebra Design Assistant/Zebra Aurora
· Open CV or equivalent
· Depth AI, PCL, Halcon or equivalent
· C#, C++
· Zebra MIL Library
· Image processing pipelines
· Python
· Practical experience with machine vision hardware:
· machine vision / GigE cameras
· AI camera / Oak smart cameras
· Sensors – proxy, Lidar and similar
· lenses and general selection of optics
· Illumination methods including strobing and control
· Experience using MV for defect detection and measurement
· Experience and exposure to AI tools related to the machine vision
· Familiar with Industrial Protocols and PLC interfaces (ProfiNet, EthernetIP, Modbus)
· OPC UA and IO Control
Nice to have:
· Working knowledge/ experience with SQL
· Exposure to Machine Learning, AI and predictive models
· Ability to communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
· Understanding or exposure to general manufacturing environment
Experience with Agile culture and methodologies tools like Jira
