The Lead ML Platform Software Engineer will drive the creation, scaling, and monitoring of ML pipelines, ensuring high-quality, reproducible results for perception systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will design infrastructure for data collection, labeling, training, and deployment, while introducing automation to accelerate workflows. The position emphasizes technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and collaboration across software, robotics, and data teams. Accountabilities
* Lead internal and external efforts to build, maintain, and enhance ML platforms and workflows.
* Introduce and customize automation in data extraction, labeling, and metrics pipelines.
* Develop infrastructure for training, validating, and deploying ML models in production environments.
* Design monitoring dashboards and analytics tools to track perception system performance.
* Ensure reproducibility, traceability, and observability across all ML workflows.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement solutions, and support milestones for prototype and production systems.
Requirements
* Strong proficiency in Python or C++, with experience in building ML platforms and pipelines.
* Hands-on experience with cloud-based ML workflow frameworks (e.g., Ray, Argo, Kubeflow).
* Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborative projects.
* Experience handling large multimodal datasets, data curation, and quality assurance.
* Self-starter capable of developing end-to-end solutions from high-level requirements.
* Strong problem-solving skills with customer-focused outcomes and excellent communication abilities.
* Desirable: 5+ years in modern C++ development, robotics or autonomous vehicle platforms, ML model deployment in production-grade systems, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and 3D visualization tools for LiDAR data.
