2. About the Opportunity:
The Lead HR Operations Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for managing HR operations within a complex, fast-growing environment at a specific location. This role ensures HR operational infrastructure is compliant, scalable, and efficient, supporting employee experiences managed by HR Business Partners. The position involves identifying process improvements, influencing stakeholders, and leading initiatives that impact both the local site and the broader organization, particularly in contexts involving mission-critical physical infrastructure such as data centers.
3. Responsibilities:
• Manage the full employee lifecycle including promotions, transfers, international moves, and terminations with autonomy.
• Act as primary escalation point for HR operations issues at the location.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding for office and data center staff, creating scalable programs.
• Support onboarding of new HR Ops team members.
• Collaborate as a peer with HRBPs, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Immigration, and Legal.
• Lead complex or high-visibility HR Ops projects locally.
• Define and improve team standards, playbooks, and best practices.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity in HRIS (HiBob) for the location.
• Drive automation and AI initiatives to reduce manual work.
• Serve as subject matter expert for new system implementations.
• Partner with People Systems to develop scalable technical solutions.
• Maintain compliance of employee records and documentation.
• Keep current on employment laws, union relations, and sector-specific regulations.
• Identify and resolve compliance risks proactively.
• Manage HR Ops policies and employee-facing documentation.
• Support travel program administration ensuring policy compliance.
• Oversee HR Ops for data center employees, including onboarding and training compliance.
• Work with EHS to meet site-level compliance requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant safety standards like OSHA and ISO 45001.
• Ensure accurate incident documentation and safety training records.
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive HR Operations experience, with at least 2 years at a senior level with full location ownership.
• Proficiency with HiBob or equivalent HRIS platforms including data governance and system administration.
• Experience managing multi-country or cross-jurisdictional HR Ops and compliance.
• Experience in or alongside data center, manufacturing, or mission-critical physical infrastructure environments.
• Proven success in implementing automation and process improvements in HR Ops.
• Strong analytical skills.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
