Lead Gen AI & Data Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and software engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated Lead Gen AI & Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Lead Gen AI & Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Software Engineering department supporting innovative AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Lead Gen AI & Data Engineer

Location:Charlotte, NC (On-site)

What's the Job?

* Design and develop intelligent AI systems using Google ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph, including multi-agent orchestration and tool integration.

* Build reliable data pipelines, APIs, and connectors to integrate enterprise Systems of Record (SoRs) for seamless data access.

* Implement enterprise-approved foundation models into AI workflows, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions.

* Collaborate with Process Excellence and Operations teams to create AI copilots and agents that enhance business functions.

* Develop and optimize backend Python services, data ingestion pipelines, and perform complex SQL queries for analytics and decision-making.

What's Needed?

* 5+ years of experience in Gen AI, AI Data Engineering, or related roles with a focus on Agentic AI solutions.

* Proficiency in Python development, prompt engineering, and context engineering skills.

* Hands-on experience with Google ADK, LangChain, LangGraph, and orchestration of AI agents.

* Strong data engineering expertise, including building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with multiple data sources.

* Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization.
