Lead Data Scientist

In this high-impact role, you will lead advanced data science initiatives that directly influence financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making at scale. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, generative AI, and finance, building models and systems that improve how resources are allocated and how business performance is anticipated. The role combines technical depth with strong business collaboration, requiring close partnership with finance leadership and executive stakeholders. You will design and deploy scalable ML solutions, from forecasting and optimization models to GenAI-powered applications. This position offers strong visibility, as your work will inform critical financial decisions and long-term business strategy. It is ideal for a senior data science leader who enjoys solving complex, real-world problems with measurable impact.

Accountabilities

* Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning, forecasting, optimization, and generative AI models supporting financial planning and decision-making

* Translate complex financial and operational questions into data science problems in close collaboration with Finance and business stakeholders

* Build and scale predictive systems and data science infrastructure to support enterprise-level financial planning

* Apply and evaluate multiple modeling approaches, including time series forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization, and GenAI techniques

* Develop executive-ready insights and recommendations based on model outputs and analytical findings

* Partner with engineering teams to productionize models and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance

* Drive innovation in forecasting, resource optimization, and AI-driven financial modeling practices

* Mentor and guide other data scientists, raising the overall technical bar of the team

Requirements

* 8+ years of experience in data science, including development of predictive models in production environments

* Strong expertise in time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization techniques

* Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

* Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, and statsmodels

* Hands-on experience applying Generative AI, including RAG architectures and agent-based workflows

* Solid understanding of statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, causal inference, and experimental design

* Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure

* Strong business acumen with the ability to translate analytical results into actionable business insights

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Experience supporting finance, FP&A, or operational planning functions is a strong asset
