Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Lead AI Researcher. The Lead AI Researcher will lead research initiatives focused on advancing the state of AI, including developing models and algorithms in areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and representation learning. Key responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, publishing high-impact research papers, contributing to open-source AI projects, and mentoring junior researchers. The role also involves participating in collaborations with academic, industry, and cross-disciplinary teams to foster innovation and achieve advancements in AI applications.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in deep learning, representation learning, supervised and unsupervised learning, and generative models
* Proficiency in implementing models and algorithms in programming languages such as Python, and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
* Experience in computational applications, including natural language processing, computer vision, and modeling signals like speech or healthcare data
* Proven track record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier AI conferences
* Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in underlying mathematical principles such as linear algebra, statistics, and optimization
* Ability to lead research teams, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary environments
* Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computational Neuroscience, or a related field is strongly preferred
* Strong communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Familiarity with ethical AI practices and a demonstrated commitment to the responsible development of AI technologies
