We’re hiring with a mission-driven AI company building advanced tooling for defense and security. Their platform brings structured and unstructured data together and layers in cutting-edge AI to help government teams make faster, smarter decisions. With a focus on security, reliability, and scale, they’re expanding their AI engineering team to tackle challenges in applied LLMs, retrieval systems, and autonomous agents.

Role Summary:

As Lead AI Engineer, you’ll build and deploy generative AI solutions with a focus on safety, system orchestration, and secure deployment. You’ll own key initiatives using Claude, OpenAI, and multi-agent frameworks, bringing them into production on AWS to support mission-critical workflows.

What You’ll Do:

* Design and deploy LLM-based systems for retrieval, reasoning, and secure decision support

* Build agent pipelines that automate complex tasks across data and workflows

* Work with Claude, OpenAI, and other foundation models via API and SDK

* Optimize performance, security, and reliability of deployed AI services

* Collaborate across teams and provide technical leadership

What You’ll Bring:

* Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with LLMs

* Familiarity with Claude and OpenAI SDKs and API integration

* Knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector search, and agent frameworks

* Experience deploying secure, scalable systems in AWS

* Comfort working in applied AI, defense, or secure environments

Tech Stack:

* Python, Claude/OpenAI SDKs

* LangChain, RAG pipelines, vector DBs

* AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM)

* Agent frameworks and orchestration tools
