The Role

Octacom is looking for a passionate and versatile Software Developer to join our growing team. This is a true "full-stack" entry-level role where you will have an opportunity to truly contribute. You’ll assist in the design, development, and support of a diverse ecosystem—from backend Windows services and Web APIs to desktop applications and light web frontends. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

* Build & Enhance: Develop and support a variety of applications (C# .NET, Web APIs, and legacy VB.NET) with a focus on performance and scalability.

* Data Mastery: Write and optimize SQL queries to interact with our MSSQL databases—data is at the heart of what we do.

* Full Lifecycle: Participate in the entire dev process, from initial research and documentation to deployment and bug fixing.

* Collaborate: Work closely with management and operations to troubleshoot issues and recommend new tools or technologies to improve our workflow.

* Maintain: Provide high-quality support for existing production applications, ensuring they remain reliable for our clients.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

* Education: A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

* Technical Familiarity: Exposure to the .NET ecosystem (C#) and a strong grasp of relational databases (MSSQL) and SQL querying.

* Clean Code: A commitment to writing reusable, maintainable code and experience with Git version control.

* Problem Solver: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates.

* Adaptability: A "self-starter" attitude. You’re comfortable shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment and eager to learn legacy systems and modern stacks alike.

* Bonus Points: Knowledge of VB.NET, an interest in AI/Machine Learning tools, an interest in DevOps tools.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000.

Octacom pay is commensurate with level of experience and includes both a base salary as well as a performance-based bonus. Further, health benefits are available from your first day of work.
