Position: Junior Game Developer (Java / libGDX)
Type: Hourly contract
Compensation: $20 - $120/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain 2D game features using Java and libGDX frameworks.
* Implement core game mechanics including game loops, sprite management, and input handling.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support AI-driven game development initiatives.
* Debug and optimize code to ensure performance and stability of game modules.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards improvement.
* Document development processes and technical workflows clearly.
* Communicate progress, challenges, and updates effectively within a remote team.
Requirements
* Strong foundational knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
* Hands-on experience with libGDX through projects or practical application.
* Understanding of core game development concepts such as sprites and game loops.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment.
* Demonstrated interest in game development and interactive applications.
* Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
